I was introduced to riding by my Husband Claude exactly 5 years ago. We were out at Herrling Island & he put me on a TTR250 trials bike. I was too embarrassed to tell him that I had never really ridden before so I decided to wing it. I took off like a shot in front of all his friends holding on for dear life & all he heard from his friends was "wow, she's pretty aggressive isn't she?". I loved it so much that I decided to get my bike license in the fall of 2003 & a used KLR. The KLR was a great learning bike as they are almost bullet proof & this allowed me to learn quickly without fear, well, there is always fear right? In the fall of 2005 my Husband surprised me with my KTM950 as an engagement present! Best present ever!! I have a done a couple dirt schools & a couple track days but otherwise Claude has been my sole teacher of "hard knocks". His basic philosophy is "get up, dust yourself off & get back on"; this has made me a better rider in so many ways. This trip will be our 5th trip together but really it is only a prelude to so many more amazing trips we have planned for our future together.
